In 2003 Tir Eoghain won their first ever All Ireland Gaelic football Final at Croke Park and everyone in the County celebrated, went mad , danced , sang and cheered and non more so than the people of Aghyaran.This song was recorded by local musician and good friend Frankie Devine to celebrate the proud and historic event of that year.

"The Blarney Pilgrims" the first Irish folk band from the West of Scotland to release an album both in Ireland and here in the US were the pioneers of a very popular brand of Irish rebel music that has emerged in the last few decades from that area of staunch Gaelige tradition.

In 1994 Martin "Doco" Doherty from Finglas Ath Cliath was murdered as he heroicly and sucessfully defended the patrons of a busy Dublin City night club from a planned and vicious attack by British Loyalists terrorists. This ballad was written by M .Mc Nally and recorded by "Padraigmor" from 'Shebeen and Saoirse'.

There is a character in every town in Ireland called Pecker but there,s only one Pecker Dunne. The legendary and iconic figure of the tinker clan Pecker remains the undisputed king of musicians within the Travelling comunity in Ireland.
