Formed in the early nineties by Gary ( vocals & acoustics) George Sinclair (bass) and Paddy Campbell (poetry & drums) Eire og started out playing in and around their home town of Glasgow.
Bigger venues and bigger money beckoned of course and soon they were lured across the Irish sea to play regular venues in Belfast and Derry , and for the many newly formed Celtic supporters clubs through out Ireland.
With the help of yours truly they arrived on their first tour of America in 1996 and played their first concert in the Landsdowne bar in Yonkers to a rapturous welcome from their many fans in New York.Must have been the American air for when the band returned home they broke up.George and Paddy went on to do other things and Gary performed solo until he was joined by Sean Lyons (mandolin extraordinare) and ex Blarney Pilgrims and Coach Clemens on bass to once again complete the threesome.
With many albums recorded and frequent tours of the USA,Europe and Australia as well as the many local gigs in Scotland and Ireland they are a much lauded and sought after group on the entertainment scene.
